Sneznik, The Forgotten Peak

Sneznik Mountain may be dwarfed by its mightier alpine neighbours, but is equally deserving of our attention.

Lightning at dawn over the two small islands of Veli Osir and Mali Osir on Losinj Island, Adriatic Sea, Croatia. Photographed from Zaosiri beach near the village of Cunski, the main storm belt was primarily over the Istra peninsula but Losinj got the edge of it during the night. This was photographed as the storm moved southeast away from the Island.

Working with Natural Light in Photography

I took this photo on an August morning from Zaosiri Beach on Lošinj Island during a second trip to this location. I had found this fantastic place the year before purely by chance. While the view of these islands had interested me, it was not the image that I’d envisaged at the time.
