The Camera Cannot Lie

Since the dawn of photography this myth has been perpetuated, but the fact is that the camera records a moment in time and it can very easily be misinterpreted. The image above is just one example.

Shot early in the morning with the mist drifting past the tree through the valley, right?

Well, it was taken early in the morning in Jamnik village, which lies on a hill on the Jelovica Plateau in Slovenia.

But in fact it wasn’t mist, but smoke being blown from a nearby chimney.
