My wife often thinks I am mad heading out when the weather is bad, but it is a fact that some of the most amazing moments can happen during this time. On a recent scouting trip around Dorset for my upcoming workshops, this was never so true.
Located in northern Slovenia, near to Kranjska Gora, is a location known as the Fairytale Cottage. I went here on a scouting trip the other day as I plan to include this location on my autumn workshop this year, which will be five days instead of the usual four.
Thanks to a website called Photohound, I was able to find a very unique view of Izola on the Slovenian Adriatic Coast. Read more about it here:
The Pagan Girl, also known as “Ajdovska Deklica” in Slovene, is entwined with local folklore, symbolizing a mythical giantess who was turned to stone.
One of the places I just had to visit while down in Dorset earlier this year was the wonderful Kimmeridge Bay, by far my absolute favourite place on this beautiful stretch of coast.
After photographing Jamnik Church at sunrise, I headed over to the other great church view in Slovenia; Saint Thomas Church in the Skofja Loka hills.
