Clear blue skies are a landscape photographer's nightmare. It's hard to know what to photograph on a sunny day with just blue skies. But when you get them, you just have to work with it. More often than not, if you are patient and look hard enough, there is always something you can make out of it all.
To see more about how I captured and processed this image, watch my latest YouTube video here:
Finding a new perspective
At first I was annoyed when the usual road to Sveta Ana church was closed and I was diverted through the village of Kamnik pod Krimom. But when I chanced upon this viewpoint showing both these churches in an adjacent setting, I forgave them. It just goes to show how driving around can reveal all sorts of different perspectives.
Photographing the June 2021 Supermoon
In June 2021 I captured some great images of the Strawberry supermoon as it rose behind Mt Krim and beside the Church of Saint Ana on the Ljubljana Marshes. In this blog I tell the story of my shoot, how I got attacked by flies, and the techniques I used to capture and create the images.
Be patient, wait for the light……………………..
It’s all about the light and not about Photoshop. See here in these two photos how light alone can transform your image before you start editing.
